The pages contained in this section were originally intended to be part of Riverrun. However, as my researches expanded the project took on a momentum of its own.

The 42- and 48-inch water main under discussion herein runs across north Middlesex in several segments, each more or less dead straight within its own parameters.
I have spent the last two years making forays out into the urban wilderness in order to track and document the various stages of the main. The first four pages cover the main in its route from Hampstead Garden Suburb to Hampton Wick via Neasdon, Stonebridge Park, Perivale, ealing and Heston.
